Wow, that means take down my own online vending attempts, well I made $10 in the past 6 years, guess I might as well take them down. I started boycotting Amazon (that is the company called Amazon) decades ago, I learned years ago that I could not trust anything advertised on Facebook, but I loved eBay, thought they were actually fair and safe. No more. I am now a burned eBay shopper — make that a FORMER eBay shopper.
I saw some barefoot grounding shoes advertised on Facebook. Since I was hoodwinked twice trying to buy things on the Facebook platform, one time I never got reimbursed, although the other time I did after a lengthy battle; I knew better than to use Facebook to make the purchase, and instead, looked up a similar product on eBay.
This is getting painful. How can I make this funny? (So you will actually read it?) So I order 2 pairs one for husband and one for me, from eBay seller open-on-line. Great tracking, great service… for his pair. Mine was supposedly in the package but wasn’t. So I report that to the vendor. The vendor sends out another, or so it claims, wrote the tracking#. When the shipper reports DELIVERED I look for it. Not at the residence, not at the mailbox. I call the shipper, FedEx. The agent gives me the address where it went. I go there. It is about 3 miles away. I knock on the door. A man answers. He says he did get a shipment but it wasn’t mine. It was his. I call FedEx again. They confirm that my name was not on the package, another name was.
So I notify the vendor via an eBay message of what happened. Vendor agrees to send another pair. They say to expect it starting 2 days hence. They refuse to give me tracking information. The incorrect tracking information (the one about the shipment that went elsewhere) remains on my eBay purchases page.
So I wait. I’m sure to clear this up as soon as eBay is ready to take my report. That day comes and I make my report. My claim is quickly denied saying seller provided tracking that proves package went to my address. I don’t believe it. Suspect that the tracking showing a package going to my town (but not to me) was used. But that is the kind of shoddy investigation they do. I’m through. That was $63 lost. Sorry I couldn’t make it funny.
